Last week, five members of the Supreme Court (none of them women) decided the religious beliefs of certain corporations outweigh a woman’s right to birth control coverage. Which (as we wrote for the Skoll World Forum) is bad for the thousands of women who work for companies whose owners want to interfere in their employees reproductive rights.
It’s also bad for the planet, because empowering women with the power to choose whether and when to have children supports a wide variety of sustainability goals, from healthier families and communities to healthier forests and oceans. That’s what WomenAtTheCenter.org is all about!
